The Name

“Tricking Rocks to Think” is a reference to an oft-quoted tweet by the wonderful Ben Driscoll, who was kind enough to let me use it.

For those who are unaware: Processors are mostly built from silicon (a rock), with lots and lots of stuff done to it (the tricks), which ultimately allows it to math and logic (thinking, if you will).

With any luck, we’ll scratch the surface of what those tricks are!
